Your journey begins at Reykjavik Old Harbour, where you’ll check in before boarding a 12-seater RIB speedboat. Once on the water, you’ll head into Faxaflói Bay, an area known for its rich marine life, including whales, dolphins, and porpoises. Thanks to the boat’s speed and maneuverability, you can cover a larger area than traditional whale-watching vessels, increasing your chances of wildlife sightings.
Along the way, you’ll cruise past small islands and follow the coastline of Reykjavik, enjoying panoramic views of iconic landmarks such as Harpa Concert Hall and the Sun Voyager sculpture. The small group size ensures plenty of space to move around and excellent viewing opportunities from every seat.
Warm overalls, gloves, goggles, and all necessary safety equipment are provided to keep you comfortable throughout the tour. As wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed, guests who do not encounter whales or dolphins are offered a free return tour, subject to availability, valid for up to three years.
